Dip Density Calculator works out tank stock from a dip reading and fuel density at 15 °C. It works offline. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and it sells no data.
Your tanks, dip readings, density readings and orders are stored only on your phone. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
Your details. Your name, company, phone number and, if you give one, your email are sent to our server when you first set up the app and whenever you save them again. We keep them so we know who uses the app and can contact you about it. They are stored encrypted, each person under their own key, and the keys are kept apart from the database.
Update check. When the app opens with a connection, it asks our server for the oldest version still allowed and for any tank models added to the list. This request carries no personal data.
Send chart. Only if you use Send chart, the app sends the tank name, fuel, company, size, the chart files you attach (photos or PDFs) and, if you enter it, your phone number. We use them only to prepare your tank's chart and, if you tick the box that allows it, to contact you about the chart on SMS or WhatsApp. Your phone number is stored encrypted, as your details are. Every file is checked for viruses before it is kept, and a file that fails is refused.
Phone ID. The app makes a random ID the first time it is used and sends it with your details, with Send chart and with the update check, so that your details stay one record and a finished chart comes back to the phone that sent it. It is not taken from your Google account or from any ID of the phone itself.
If you connect a BPCL account, the login ID and password are kept on your phone and sent only to BPCL's own portal, from your phone. They never pass through our server. What the portal returns is kept on your phone.
We do not share, sell or rent any of this data. Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
We keep your details while you use the app. To have them deleted, write to the email address on the app's Google Play listing and include your phone number; we delete every record of that number.
We keep a chart you send, its files and your phone number until the chart is published or declined, and for up to 90 days after that. To have them deleted sooner, write to the email address on the app's Google Play listing and include the tank name.
The app is a tool for fuel station staff. It is not meant for children.
